Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On arrival at New Delhi International airport meet & greet by our representative. Later transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After having breakfast take full day sightseeing of Old and New Delhi famous tourist places – visit Qutab Minar- one of the tallest tower of it’s time, Humanyun’s Tomb -the mausoleum of the great Mughal emperor “Humayun”, drive past India Gate and President House and other government buildings, Red Fort – symbol of mighty Mughal empire, Jama Masjid- one of the biggest mosques in India, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi-Jaipur (260 km-5 hrs)
Morning drive to Jaipur “Pink City”. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Jaipur – one of the most culturally rich cities of India. Several dynasties including the Rajput clan ruled here and left their indelible mark in the form of monuments & forts that comprise our chief visits. Later visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and Jantar Mantar (Astronomical Observatory). Evening free for relax or enjoy shopping for some traditional handicrafts in Jaipur’s local market. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur-Agra (232 km-430 hrs)
Morning excursion to Amber Fort (most frequented monument in the city). At Amber fort, you shall take a joyful ride upon the majestically dressed elephant to reach to fort’s entrance located atop a hill. Later proceed towards one of the most famous cities in India worldwide- Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 to commemorate the birth of his son and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Pm visit The Taj Mahal- the eternal symbol of love. Located on the banks of River Yamuna, the monument continues to draw thousands of visitors from around the globe, who come here to experience this one of 7 wonders of the world. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Agra
After a leisurely breakfast, our best guides shall take you on sightseeing the Agra Fort from where four of the mighty rulers from Mughal dynasty ruled their vast empire, Itmad-Ul-Daula – a beautiful mausoleum built by Nurjahan wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir for her Persian father Mirza Giasuddin Beg or Itmad-Ul-Daula. Rest day free for relax or enjoy optional activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06: Agra-Jhansi-Orchha-Khajuraho
Morning in time transfer to railway station to board train for Jhansi .Upon arrival meets with our representatives who shall assist & drive you to Khajuraho. En-route visit Orchha temples believed to have been built during 16th and 17th centuries by the Bundella rulers. The temples exhibiting rich artistic acumen of bygone age are in remarkably preserved state. Later, continue towards Khajuraho and upon arrival check-in at a hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Khajuraho
Full day sightseeing of Khajuraho including the village life and the world-renowned temples. The town is famous for the masterful depiction of sensual, erotic sculptures. These temples were built by Chandela dynasty between 950 AD to 1150 AD and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex comprising of Eastern, Western & Southern group of temples shall be covered in detail with our expert guide explaining the depicted meaning of famous sculptures. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Khajuraho-Varanasi
In time transfer to airport to board the flight for Varanasi. Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Upon arrival meets with our representatives who shall assist & transfer you to the hotel. Post lunch set out to explore the city known as the preserver and essence of India. With a history dating back to 3000 BC, the heritage city has much to offer in terms of sightseeing. Later excursion to Sarnath – visit the sites where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Evening visit Dashwamedh Ghat to witness evening prayer on holy Ganges. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Varanasi-Delhi
Early morning proceed for a boat ride upon the tranquil waters of Holy Ganges, witnessing devotees offering prayers on the riverfronts, priests chanting ‘Mantras’ and ringing of temple bells filling the air with their sweet music. According to Hindu mythology, a dip in the sacred waters of Ganges relieves one of the sins and having ones last rites performed here results in divine attainment of ‘Nirvana’. Later, walk through the narrow alleyways of Old Varanasi exploring some important temples. In time transfer to Varanasi airport for flight to Delhi and upon arrival check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Delhi Departure
Day time free for leisure activities. Just relax at the hotel or indulge in some last minute shopping before transferred to International airport for your onward/return journey.
